Stones = Energy

I read this really cool article and it got me thinking. It discusses quantum physics and energy. Yeah,,,, Hated physics in high school and here I found myself engrossed in what this article says. And, of course I went down the rabbit hole. By the time I realized it, I had 9 open windows.

I loved how it immediately discusses the fact that quantum physics has questioned everything we know about our World. But, what was most important to me was this quote, “Scientists began to recognize that everything in the Universe is made out of energy.”… Not matter. But I’m sure you all knew this too.  This is not a new concept. In fact it goes back hundreds of years.

The debate continues, but things change, progress, transform. Many things that had been frowned upon  are now being embraced by former non believers. One of these things is the power of crystals, stones, and minerals. Just like we are made up of energy, so are they. And, as the article illustrates, we all radiate our own unique energy signature.

Our Energy is Unique

We are surrounded by it. It is part of our every day living. We are attracted naturally to some people; others we actually repel. We are energy and our body is constantly emitting energy outwards. These vibrations will be perceived by others and either be embraced or forced back. Every time we move, talk,,, every thing is energy. And we, my friend, are energy!

I conclude that so do stones and that humans have felt this all along thereby giving them such importance physically, emotionally, spiritually, and metaphysically.

Science teaches us early on about energy. There are different types of energy: electrical, motion, sound, thermal, light, chemical. We also learned that energy can be found in many things, and take many forms. Well, so do stones and crystals. They are energy and have the power to transmit energy. 

Stones Have Unique Energy

When I decided to keep this blog, I wanted to give definitive information on the stones. I have been fascinated by stones and crystals as far back as I can remember. However, my actual research began with a trip to the Metropolitan Museum. I asked my grandfather for a book sold at the gift shop. Yup, it was pricey, but my grandfather knew it would not be sitting around gathering dust. And, that was for sure!

For years, on and off, I researched stones and crystals’ given attributes and properties.  It started with the obvious stones: Turquoise, Jade, Quartz… But one day, one stone opened up a door, a door I have never been able to close. I don’t want to.

There is no way for me to pick a favorite stone. I cannot. But, I can tell you the stone that did it for me. It was Iolite. We connected immediately. Why? I do not know. It just happened. However, let me speak with candor. There are times when I pick up a stone and feel absolutely nothing. That’s right, nothing.

I think, perhaps because it’s energy. The vibrations they radiate may or may not attract us. Maybe they actually are vibrating at a different level, one that I may not perceive. I’m so sure about that because there are stones that I immediately click with. They call to me in their own way and I feel  the connection established. Because of our own unique energy signature, maybe we are meant to connect with crystals and stones that resonate within our own energy, much like we connect to people. I know you have someone in your life with whom you clicked right away!

Consciousness and Energy

The article then discusses experiments done to see the role of consciousness in our physical world. It’s interesting because they conclude that “positive emotions and operating from a place of peace within oneself can lead to a very different experience for the person emitting those emotions and for those around them.” Really??? 

Spiritually speaking we have known this all along. Our minds have the power to change the world we live in. I have written before that if we all came from a place of love and peace, our World would be a better place. We as humans, have the power to change the devastation we see and hear of every day. But, unfortunately I feel that not enough of us come from a loving place.

Debate Continues

There are differing opinions when it comes to the power of stones and crystals having metaphysical, healing, and spiritual attributes: those who religiously make them a part of their daily living and those who are not fans. Science scoffs at any mention of the use of stones for healing, while others swear by their efficacy. I do not believe that we should solely rely on them as cures for our physical ailments, but we should not discount them. We cannot forget the hundreds, if not thousands of years of their use for just that. A massage with hot stones, wearing a favorite stone, using stones while meditating, there is certainly no harm in those. However, strictly following a therapeutic regimen that only allows for crystals, minerals, and stones, well that is just something I would not do.

So, like I have said before: Imagine a world filled with positive vibrations, the energy of peace. All it takes is tuning into our bodies and our energies.
