I’ve Made Up My Mind. Sort Of…

As I quickly stated in my last post, I’ve come to realize that writing so much information every time I post a new creation has been very time consuming and I have not been able to post as many pieces to the shop as I would like! I have had many reactions and opinions. All have been great; none negative and all with the desire to help me better my site!

Some believe that adding so much info detracts from the Tesoro; others disagree and love reading about the gems, and their lore and legend. What to do?  What to do?

I know that when I set out to create this site, I wanted to cover as much as I knew about the material that I work with. I have gone through several transformations and all led me to where I write to you today. That was and still is my goal! You as the consumer should be informed; whether you are a believer of the usefulness of crystals, gems, and minerals, or see it as a fun thing to know!

When I began to understand this subject better and fully investigate and practice, (my own way, for I do not ascribe to any particular doctrine) I became more in tune with what each stone needed and wanted. (What, they talk to you?)

There is dissonance and assonance in Poetry and I also feel it when I put stones together or choose to leave them solo. The rhythm that I sense either brings me harmony or not. Seems weird but it really isn’t. Everything in this world is either in order or in chaos. If every being on our Planet would find their inner balance and project it outwardly, this would be a better world and the rhythm would be Peace.

So, having gone off on a tangent and jumped on my soapbox, let me clarify. I will continue my journey into the life of Crystals, Gems, and Minerals and offer what I know to you. I cannot stop doing this. It is the essence of why I started Tesoros. But, there are various ways of doing this.

One possibility is to continue to add to the Gemstones’ page. I have only hit the tip of the iceberg of information on the materials I use in my Tesoros’ creations. There are many gems out there that I haven’t even mentioned and that I want to present to you, maybe for the first time! My journey through rocks and minerals has taught me that I don’t know everything. There are specimens that I have never ever heard of and must investigate. The rarer, the better!

Another option is to blog about them. That one may be tricky because I want to be more personal in my blogs and talking about rocks may be personal for me but…

I’m still working out the kinks and I will make it to where I feel comfortable. It may seem unimportant to you but to me it is everything! Do you know the feeling you get when your favorite character in your favorite TV show is suddenly replaced by another actor??? I know that I become infuriated when it happens and I actually resent the new actor and mourn the former. I know, I know, it may seem silly to some but I do know there are those of you who can relate!

My next post will be based on Sapphires, Emeralds, Rubies, and Labradorite. These are the Gemstones I used in four necklaces I recently made.

What do you think?
